mkoppeser Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Hey All Does anyone have any idea what model this GS is? Obviously 1100 top end but the rest looks all GS1000 and is a chain drive. Fairing is OEM. Thanks Mark 1 Quote
wraith Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Maybe a S but not 100% just going off the clock's and fairing. The gsx engine (4v) won't fit on the bottom of a GS (2v) two very different engines, so the gsx motor is a latter replacement. 1 Quote
gs7_11 Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Its a 1980 GS1000ST, or at least the rolling chassis is. You can tell by the factory rearset footrests. The 80 ST was the only model that had those, and that ties in with the fairing and clocks. The engine is GSX1100 obviously. Fits in the 8v GS1000 frame easily enough. 2 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 if it's an S it should have an 18" rear wheel and not 17". Quote
