Cford717 Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 Hi all, new member to the forum and also owning a suzuki. Brought mine as a project got her running ... kind of. I'm after if anybody knows what the factory settings maybe on the carbs for example idle tickover screw and the pilot screw. Another thing is how slack or tight the throttle cable should be? The carbs have been stripped and cleaned and I'm also running the original air box. I cant say what exact year it is but it's got the electric start. Any help for a total newbie will be gratefully recieved. 1 Quote

Gixer1460 Posted June 14, 2020 Posted June 14, 2020 So we have another newbie (who also hasn't introduced himself) offering advice to someone who also hasn't introduced themselves! Is this some sort of newbie challenge to the 'way of things' as its happening with monotonous regularity just recently! BTW - we like to help, we just like to know who we are helping and there is also a search function but I suppose that requires reading up and not just being told the answer! 5 Quote
Poldark Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Alex Jones is a OSS guy? I used to listen to him quite a bit, but I don't recall him ever talking about motorcycles. "If you can hear this transmission, you are the resistance." Quote
Gixer1460 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Eh? Alex Jones is the Doris on the 'One Show'......... mind you I wouldn't mind seeing her in a set of leathers and I might answer her questions Quote
