Carb identification (oil or watercooled?)

Hi,

I recently picked up a slabside 1100 with an 1127 engine and a unknown set of carbs. Plan is to use the 1127 engine in my 7/11 slingshot. The engine was running when i bought it, but due to clutch master cylinder problems I could not ride it, and i got it cheap so i figured i tackle any problems if some happen to appear..

Now to the question, what carbs are these??? When i google they look veeery similar to what appears to be carbs for the watercooled engines. In that case, fuck (and yay, good reason to invest in a pair of RS or FCR..)

The opening towards the engine is 39,5mm on the inside by the way.

Do they line up or even fit into the rubbers with the rubbers still on the 1127 head? If so, they are from an oilcooled bike; if not they're from a watercooled model. The spacings are different between oil- and water cooled machines. See the sticky article at the top of this section.

Possibly 40mm from a gsxr 1100m.

I agree. The first pic you can see the breather vent pipe (between 2 and 3) for the diaphragm/cap areas. Only ever seen that extra breather circuit on the 40's.
