manden Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 Are these valves ok? Test fitted to check clearences and guides. Quote
dupersunc Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 If you have to ask these questions you're probably better getting some one else to do the job. They look some what larger than the original valves. What are you trying to achieve ? Quote

Gixer1460 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 What are they - 30mm? It's not what you see there that makes the difference. A big hole is just that a big hole! Unshrouding, port shape and back of valve is where the flow is at - it's the guys that know how to combine them you need to find. Quote
Askamaskinservice Posted September 15, 2019 Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Where in Sweden are you? You have Topplocksverkstan outside Lund, with the guru Erland Cox. In Vadstena PMM. Arvika Overboostracing. That's 3 from the top of my head //Hasse Edited September 15, 2019 by Askamaskinservice added a bit Quote
manden Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 (edited) Thanks all. It's 31mm stainless valves. I'm not sure what exhaust valves to go for . According to flow gurus it should be ok t stay on good 25mm valves or go for 26mm to be safe that also will support turbo if he power isn't satisfactory. I know Erland, and yes he is great, and somewhat pricey. I normally Port my self and have seats put in by a competent machinist. I get good results. An additional benefit if Erland is he can flow test. Before and after numbers would be great for all on this forum an other gsxr oilcoolers. But it will add about 600£ to the total, but the head will also be better. Edited September 15, 2019 by manden Quote
Gixer1460 Posted September 16, 2019 Posted September 16, 2019 Interesting - I thought 30mm was about as big as you could go without recentering / spreading the guides or you run out of seat by the time they are recut? 1 Quote
manden Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 i have to put in larger seats. mre said that 31.5 was max but they where very expensive, so 31 it was. looks to fit well. new seats are 32.5mm 1 Quote
