flatline
Hi, I have had to re-register for some reason, probably dormant for too long!! I am re-building a Harris F1 with a GSXR1100K motor, I've had the project for years, but am now pushing ahead to get it finished & need a little help. I am half-way through putting the engine back together, but have mislaid some of the crankcase bolts. Can anyone direct me to a source for the crankcase bolt sizes, so I can locate elsewhere other than the expensive OEM sources? At the moment I'm after bolt #6 & #7 in the attached diagram, but I'm sure there will be more!! Many thanks in advance, Flatline Edited March 2, 2019 by flatline 3 Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
Alphasports list these as #6 - 125mm x M8 and #7 -115mm x M8, so any good bolt supplier should be able to supply plated steel cap head screws - Grade 8.8 should be ok. Query - Isn't a Harris F1 a steel tubular frame not alloy ? ? ? 1 Quote Link to comment
wraith
Looks like a gsxr frame to me, but I know nothing Quote Link to comment
flatline
Ian King's blue & white F1 was the best known, built in 1987 & featured in Performance Bikes magazine in December of that year. Only approx 6 were built, as that was the time the perimeter framed RC30's and FZR's appeared. The second photo is of my bike stripped to the bare rolling chassis shortly after I bought it Edited March 3, 2019 by flatline 2 Quote Link to comment
