Nickel Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Can anybody identify this turbo charger? There is no label, no Marks, no sings, no numbers, nothing on it. Any kind of Information welcome... Thanks Quote
Arttu Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Hmm, perhaps a Chinese copy of Borg&Warner K04? Quote
Gixer1460 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 'kin hell - compared to your hand, that outlet flange is 'kin enormous! Sorry no idea on brand or model but looks like it'll need a fair bit of adaptation for bike use? Quote
Nickel Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Isn't that big as it looks on the foto. Thought it would be worth for bike use. Quote

Nickel Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Have to grind one of the Main bearing seats, to get more bearing clearance. Can't use other bearing shells, because this seat has already green ones. Quote
Arttu Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Take measurements of the compressor and turbine wheels. Those could help identification and give some idea about power range. But like said it looks quite much like K04 used on VW 1.8T engines. The hints are three bolt turbine inlet flange, big outlet flange and extra mounting tab on the turbine housing. Quote
Nickel Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Thanks Arttu. You're right. Seems to be a KKK K04-023. It's a Chinese copy. May be it's worth a try. Quote

Nickel Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Sounds like a Plan. Curious Turbine inlet, but definitely possible to adapt. Thanks. Quote
