Alex
Hi all. I was told a long while ago that if I take the balance weight off the frame that is behind the head stock that I would get vibration through the handle bars. Is this correct? Quote Link to comment
Alex
So what is it for then? Quote Link to comment

fatblokeonbandit
It's a mass damper! Cuts vibes apparently, when I got mine new it was removed and binned, 21 years later it still doesn't vibrate Quote Link to comment
Swiss Toni
Best thing to do, in this case, is to firstly remove it from the frame. Degrease it thoroughly, then spend around 10 minutes on the wire wheel, removing all traces of rust. Give it a good coat of Red Oxide, (top coat optional), take deep breath ... then see if you can hit the opposite bank of the River Cam with it! Just joking! It's neither use nor ornament! Just Suzuki's way of extracting more of your 'Hard Earned'! Edited February 6, 2019 by Swiss Toni Quote Link to comment
