right......db killer now fitted and all is much quieter! .....the problem now is the bike is not revving out, it starts coughing and spluttering at about 7 - 8k rpm. anyone had the same issue?

Had the first ride out for a while at the weekend for the mot, about 20 miles each way. Feeling more planted with the new rear shock and freshly serviced forks, very happy....oh, and the yoshi cyclone sounds beautiful

Will give one a try cheers It's a static test prior to getting out on track at a higher rpm for 750's than an 1100... I struggled to get through with the slabby a couple of years ago, no sticker no track time, team oss came to the rescue though

I've got a yoshi cyclone end can now fitted on the 750 slingshot engine in my moto martin and wondered if anyone has successfully fitted a db killer to a similar system (50mm outlet). I need to get down to 105db for the classic track day at Cadwell Park...

Little update....found a good second hand penske rear shock off an R1. 305mm between centres with the added bonus of having a little +/- length adjustment....
-
Couldn't agree more with Maxton for quality......cost is out of my range at the mo. although I know its reasonable in the grand scheme of things. Useful thread here talking about what can be done with slabside forks for little cost.....

Just booked in the upto 750 group on Suzuki Saturday ....see you there Sam

cheers it still needs more 'proving' and is me only bike on the road at present. will be mostly looking into suspension upgrades this year......after that it might be time to shove in the old gs1000 motor.....

I've recently been looking for a trail bike for commuting and a spot of weekend green lane riding and happened on this cosmetically challenged 1986 ts250x (also known as the rh250) . Having bought it I then find out parts are a wee bit scarce so the plan is to get it running sweet and return it to the yellow and blue livery with a combination of ts, dr and rm parts...last picture for reference....

I'm still good to go Mark

Sounds good to me

Fitted one in my old bike after shortening the lower mount a little and removing the lock nut.... Was like riding a different bike, great improvement over the standard shock

Have fitted a dynojet stage 3 jet kit on my gr77a engine with the 36mm carbs running pipercross dual foam filters and vance & hines headers but am still struggling to get it running sweet....has anyone got any experience and tips with a similar set up?
-
managed one reasonable session on the Martin, still need to fine tune the jetting after fitting a dynojet kit but all in all very pleased with the way she performed trying to keep up with everyone.......thanks for a fab weekend

Cheers dezza....yes I still have the Spondon discs although they are zxr fitment, same as some marvic wheels I have too (very slightly different bolt pcd to slingshot but same overall diameter)

Have updated a couple of the old pictures on previous page, interesting to see the difference since I bought it
