  1. I didn't even know they existed on all the carbs i've had til this set, so proves they don't normally fall out
  2. They're a pretty tight fit, surprised this one fell out. As you push it in you'll notice how well it's in
  3. This seriously has me baffled & i have ordered a full set of Emulsions, needles, & just about every part that fits inside the carbs for the BST40's as they don't do a BST38 kit. I would imagine virtually all the internals are the same, & once dyno'd then the poss differences between emulsions, needles & jets can be balanced out.
  4. These are the tubes, no perforations in the right. Jet on left is solid & is less than a mm shorter, & also the 102 & 144 mains screw in. 155 barely screws in. Jet on right is perforated & only the 144 screw in, 102 1/2 a thread & 155 not at all?
  5. Looks very similar to one set of mine, however i can't screw either DJ (left) or Mikuni (right) jets in?
  6. Yes, the taper end goes in first. I have 2 sets of needles, the first fat blunt set have no markings & IMO are DJ. These are not worn. The 2nd set are more pointy, have badly worn at the spring end & do have markings on them which equates to a U.S. (Not Cali) needle. So i think these are std, but are fitted in DJ jets & with 102 mains which are also DJ As per photo below. It also had 2x2 springs, first 2 having a green tint, the others plain?
  7. Oh dear, the Emulsions (despite being holed & solid) are both DJ! Main jets 102 & 144 are def DJ! Springs are different lengths? One set of slides are plugged, others are standard! So i can't buy a Factory Pro kit as i will need a set of std Emulsions for the kit to work. They ain't cheap & hard to find for the 38's?
  8. Casings must be major different? However mine is an GSX1100F engine! And the spacers were made to fit. I just put engine in with front/bottom & rear mounts. Once in place i just measured the gap between the rear frame/mount to the casing & had them made up
  9. Just measured 1100 engine in a 750 frame & i got top left 50mm top right 56mm bottom right? couldn't get at it So does that mean the 11 engine casing mounts at least 6mm nearer to left of frame?
  10. Oh, fairy muff. But he does say Mounts?
  11. Right had a dig & came up with these. 3x cardboard templates for GSXR750F/G/H plus a pair of rears. 2nd pic shows them on right, the ones on left are very close but just slightly out, so possible GSXR1100G/H rears?
  12. Lost me there? What's that you're measuring? Mounts are triangular, so hows that a measurement? This is a 750 front.
  13. Bit hard to measure, better off with a cardboard template & have em made from that. I got a box load, so i'll look what's there. 7 &11 ones are different at the front, not sure about bottom or rear tho?
  14. Back from cleaning, Missing parts supplied by @Captain Chaos now just waiting on the seal rebuild kit & new jets. Would like a Factory Pro CRB-S21-3.0 kit to fit too, but price is ridiculous! Hoping Rich Hocking can help me
  15. Body of No1 carb spares
  16. Got em as 38 spares, but as you say no pipe? Body apertures on both are 46/58 Original set had 37.5 pilots, DJ needles in, & solid DJ jets with 102 mains Spares had 35 Pilots, U.S. 6ZDZ needles in, & Std holed jets with 144 mains, which i thought were DJ size too? A proper mess of parts here!
  17. @Andrew Everybody & his dog will say don't use stacks on CV carbs & they're right. I just put em on to see how it went with mesh filters over the ends. TBH it's not as bad as i was expecting, but when i eventually get round to working on it again, the stacks will prob get dumped.
  18. Another conundrum, i have the original set, plus some spares. They appear different. The carb bowls are as follows: Carbs = Drain, jet change nut, blanked 0 jet in bowl with pipe up side (Left) Spares = Drain, No jet nut, blanked bowl & no 0 jet, No pipe up side (Right)
  19. Not gonna help mine either then!
  20. Check out my drag build thread in projects. Lots of irrelevant info, but does cover the Slabby 7 & 11 mounting differences
  21. Have to agree, whils't they are good coils, i've had 2 sets crack. Don't stop me using them though
  22. Before you chop your push rod, do as suggested & use a wood dowel with the length possibly needed. If it don't work, then at least you know before chopping up the rod
  23. That's the kit i want, where'd you get it?
  24. So despite the 1100 engine, you still used a facPro 750 kit?
