    Well.....

Even if the connectors do fit each other:

You would need to have  the electrical drawings of both the 600 and the 750.

Repin the 600 wires into 750 connector plug. The colors usally do not change but functionally compare each wire if you are set on using the 750 cdi.

Another option would be to use the complete 600 loom plus the "plugged" components and craft them on the 750 engine.

As in: swap the 600 signal generator over to the 750 . Other parts like the dynamo might just benefit from a plug swap.

As the 600 engine is smaller the redline probably is set higher. A potentential danger would be overreving the 750 engine during a misshift.  How big of a danger?... that is debateable. As for ignition curve... theoretically...yes.. real life... doubtful

Many people have stuck in a different/bigger engine in their bike.

I try to use as much parts original to the engine. That would include the loom , cdi and even the control switches on the handle bar.

That is because i like the simplicity of that approach.

    Welcome btw.

I admire your enthusiasm and access to tools to create the stuff we desire but please take a step back and first learn how these assemblies work and go together, because until you know that - £450 will seem cheap in comparison (costed against time and scrapped parts) I built a whole CNC mini mill to create some parts with big ideas of what it could do in the future - so far it's only created 4 pieces, so cost per piece is about £600 whereas a machine shop could have done all 4 for about £150 !

But you did them yourself, right(y)

So keep that one standard and build a new one, with USD fork, wider 17" rims, braced swingarm and turbo it.(y)

Thanks folks. Cable's good, new oil and filter. Carbs could do with a sync and balance, and a bit of DYNO time with the new pipe I guess.  I'm erring toward warped/stuck clutch plates after such a long lay up. Thanks

    What oil you got?
