Its not got efe instruments the bike is a GSX750esd and they are the clocks it should have
Definitely EFE clocks Es clocks don't have the warning lamps down the sides, they are along the bottom. Similar shape though.

If there is a code for the correct paint for the engine, I've never found it. Apparently smoothrite is a good enough paint to use but doesn't react very well to petrol. While i've been looking I was pointed in the direction of " Mipatherm" high temperature paint by @ral. I got mine from the bay of e. If you have a look at the topic GSX 1100 ET @ral there is a photo of the engine he has painted Looks good to me

What makes you think they are 550es? They definitely came off my 750es

Good to meet you today @Swirlhope the parts do the job

Mirrors are oberon. The screen is just a old one at the moment I have a new one but going to cut it about a bit first
Does that mean when you get the new one fitted, I can buy the old one

Great looking bike, you've done a cracking job with it where did you get the dark screen and bar end mirrors
-
Looking very good so far, have you painted the engine if so what did you use?
-

Nice bit of mill work there
Can't take the credit for it though, from some talented chaps in Japan.

Thanks @Duckndivegood to know, will broaden my search as it's a shame not to try and save the engine. For now though I'm going to put my other 1100 in and see what it's like to get the bike up and running.

As some of you know I need a replacement rotor for my Kat1100 engine, and also I have to get the crank repaired. Due to the fact that I'm not having much luck at finding a good rotor, what I'm wanting to know is will a crank and matching rotor from an ET or EFE fit? as this hopefully will increase my chances of resurrecting this engine. Thanks in advance.

Welcome.
Most important rule when considering buying an aircooled Suzuki 1100: buy now, think later.
Very wise words from Captain Chaos. Welcome to OSS

The full disclosure of this nightmare is in a duplicate thread from a while ago but to cut a long story short, after taking on board some advice from the scholars of OSS land After some initial movement it was just not havin it so eventually Mr impatient turned up and I ended up with “err 2 very nice doorstops “
