blackie Posted November 2, 2017 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Hi' looking for the best way of lengthening my forks, I'm starting a new build with a Slabby frame, I've seen the stepped yoke's they look ok' but I need about 70'mm extension to get the stance right, I'd rather have stainless inserts in the top, here's a pic of the forks... SiBag Posted November 2, 2017 Share Posted November 2, 2017 You might me able to get longer for tubes. As far as I can remember the tube OD is a fairly common diameter. I would not recommend adding extensions to the top of them. Quote Link to comment

bluedog59 Posted November 2, 2017 Share Posted November 2, 2017 I thinks those forks are a pair of RSU46's out of a Bimota SB6. 70mm is a lot to extend forks by with a screw in extension, you could go for a 45mm stepped yoke, a 25mm fork extension and the clamp area of the yoke 30mm deep. This will give you the extra 70mm length and the joint between the extension and the leg is supported and covered by the yoke. blackie Posted November 2, 2017 Author Share Posted November 2, 2017 Yes mate out of a Bimota, might not have to be 70'mm, I'll block it up to see how it looks bit by bit, it's just that I don't like the look of a bike low at the front with its belly hanging on the road, it's nice to have late model forks but there all to short, got some 1000k6 forks as well, there the same to short, ...
