Jonny
Hi all, Just a quick one. Is it possible to adjust the ignition timing on this engine or is it fixed? Obviously I know on the old points ignition GS motor you could but not sure if on an eye if it set at the factory and that's that. I have Googled it but nothing comes up. Thanks, Jonny Quote Link to comment
Blubber
The efe has electronic advance. For us mere mortals.. you cant change those settings. You can slot the Base plate to advance or retard all of the settings by max 4° (roughly) 1 Quote Link to comment

nlovien
one thing to watch out for on any older (used) bike engine ref: ignition is for any wear where the ignition rotor is pinned to the crank - any feel of movement before you nip up the bolt can easily cause a 5 deg shift on base timing value ( the pre set ignition advance is relative to the base value) 1 Quote Link to comment
