fatblokeonbandit Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Right I have no idea what im doing with these new carbies, they will be going in My bandit along with the spare 1216 motor left over from my Mag 2..... Anyone got an idea of a base set up for a high comp 1216 with flowed head and gsxr 1100 cams, just to get it running well enough to go to the dyno????? Quote
Gammaboy Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 First step in getting them set up correctly is to put them back to a proper colour. 1 Quote
nlovien Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 book spec sheet base setting for rs40's is 140main / no. 3 groove on needles / 17.5 for pilot jet and a 1/4 to 1/2 turn on the pilot screws std issue practise = remove the pilot screws and check the tips are still there - punt off the K/N's and fit 50mm stacks with a pair of socks Quote

Dezza Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 They're your carbs so keep them yellow it that is what you like Alternatively, paint the tops red, put a little Yoshimura sticker on each of the float bowls for one and four, and then try and convince people they are now worth double what the same item is worth without the Yoshimura branding Quote
