Ben Slabby Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Just a quick un, what final capacity do 1127 pistons into 1052 slabby give? Spanks. ;) Quote
banditman Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Is this worth doing and is it pretty much straight forward? Quote
Fula28 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 May as well get cases bored and go 1157? Quote
banditman Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 So will the 1052 barrels bore out to 1127 pistons ok? I have a few sets lol better get digging them out ;-) Quote
kokolis Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Yes, 1052 liners can be bored 2mm out and 1127 pistons can be fitted, it gives 1109 though cause of the stroke difference Quote
Jaydee Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 May as well get cases bored and go 1157? 1137cc. Don't forget it's 1mm shorter stroke. Quote
Fula28 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 (edited) Yup with 1137cc you need to deck block by 0.040" to get comp correction on 1157. Edited September 12, 2015 by Fula28 Quote
banditman Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Sounds like a plan then. Now where did I put them pistons?1109cc must give a bit more grunt.Easy I suppose when you have a mate with a boring tool haha. Looks like John has more work coming his way haha. Quote
george 1100 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) If you are going to bore out your 1052 block, imo not worth the exercise. By the time you pay for block machining, rings, 1127 pistons, gaskets, etc..... Better off getting a 1127 block (cheap) and 81mm kit. Will yield 1186, from memory, at not too much more cost. Difference, you will notice....You will need to bore your cases to fit, I've done it before with a dremel, easier than it looks Edited September 15, 2015 by george 1100 Quote
