Bandit 12 dot head

Hello everyone I'm new here but not to suzuki 

Im in the process of rebuilding an engine for my chop I carrantly have 750 k cams and l am looking for a dot head I have been told the gsx750f use these heads on certain yrs  but unsure what yrs was the short stroke any advice would be much app

Just been reading past posts on this subject should of done that first really lol 

it says same engine up to 98 but some of these engines does not have the dot so are these heads no good has anyone used a non dot head from these years 

my head is shot so I have to get a replacement so if I'm swapping may as well get a little extra From it

Welcome to OSS, stick to the DOT heads, if you can't see the DOT on the side don't bother.

Thanks for the reply wraith  I thought that would be the case  just wanted to be sure 

and how much you thinking swirl I just nearly bought a complete engine on the bay glad I checked in now

Well managed to get a dot head turned up with one of the caps missing ffs so now I've got to get that sorted before I can use it but I have a 750 slab lump r705 with a good head but bottom not so

could I use this head just to get me back on the road till I have sorted the dot head I will keep standard cams and run just as is I can't be doing with stuck in the car for another 3 weeks

Is that the 749cc motor? If so would you be selling the pistons and barrels 

I believe you could use the head off  the slaby lump, you just get smaller valves as the DOT head has the 750 combustion chamber but has the same size valves as the 1100.

The plan is to put top end onto bandit 6 chop that I'm building for somebody sorry wraith

750 slab head and dot head are different around he camcahin tunnel area.  It will bolt on but the camchain tunnels are different sizes do the mating faces don't match.

Thanks canamant I decided against it anyway and am looking for another b12 head till I get the dot one sorted not having much luck finding somewhere to do it and prices i have had seems like I might be better getting another head
