matt black Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I have rebuilding my GS1000 which has an oil cooler , can anyone tell me if there should be an o ring between the block and the take off? I cant remember seeing one when I removed it but looks like there is a groove on the take off. see two pictures. Quote
wraith Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Dose not help in some ways, but do some don't. The one on my GS dose not have a oil ring and is fine and has plenty of oil pressure but I do have the gsx750et oil pump gears in my motor. 1 Quote

vizman Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 try asking @busa1300 he had one of those pops Yoshi o/cooler take offs on his gs1000 2 Quote
busa1300 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Its pretty close tolerance between the two, I put just a slight amount of black silicone around the inner circle, and around the outside edge. I tried putting in a o-ring, but it was too thick....the silicone seems to be working fine. 1 Quote
