this is a picture of the other side of the take off.

I have rebuilding my GS1000 which has an oil cooler , can anyone tell me if there should be an o ring between the block and the take off? I cant remember seeing one when I removed it but looks like there is a groove on the take off. see two pictures.

Thanks Kiwi, I spoke to RS bike paints who thought it was marble straight red or marble pure red. So I guess it is marble straight red. Thanks for the info. Gary

Can anyone tell me the red paint colour code or any info of a 1978 GS1000
