Crazylien Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 my slabside engine did some damage after an oilpump failure now i would swap her out for an younger 1127 , still my slabside engine has all new gearbox and new barnet clutch and springs , would this fit an 1127 engine ? and would it for at first be possible to let her run on my 33mm flatsides . with proper jetting of course ... are there any other problems i might run into ? Del Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) What slabby,750 or 1100? And do you mean the slabby 750 VM29ss flatslides(they are only 33mm on the outlet, they are 29mm on the intake)? Edited August 11, 2016 by Del Quote
Crazylien Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 i'ts an slabside 750 but she had the hop up kit from suzuki . so rev limiter was disabled , she has slotted cam sprockets the special pistons and the real stuf 33 mm carbu's Quote
Guest YoshiJohnny Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Mine is a GSXR750F frame with an 1127 motor... easy enough to swap but rear upper engine mount is a different diameter bolt. Mine also runs the VM29s but bored out to 33mm and it works OK just runs out of puff a bit top end.. Quote
Guest YoshiJohnny Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 You will need a different exhaust as the 1127 is taller Quote
Guest YoshiJohnny Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 The slabby 750 and 1127 clutches are not interchangeable.. IIRC Quote
Crazylien Posted August 11, 2016 Author Posted August 11, 2016 not even when i the 750 gearbox axle ? Quote

Rear lower fixed mounting brackets are a different size 11's are 12mm and 750's are 10mm. You can either take them out to 12mm or fit a copper sleeve inside the mount on the engine ,to take it down to 10mm Edited August 12, 2016 by Del Quote
Captain Chaos Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 don't slabby 1100's have a 10mm rear mount as well? Quote

Only know this because just put the powerscreen 1127 into Sonny's 1100g Quote
