Trying to find a part number for the brass tube on the side of bst36 cv carb that is broken off. Looking at buying a bandit 1200s and trying to figure out how much to knock off my offer for fixing this part. Do I need to fabricate a new one from brass tubing or can I order it somewhere? All the parts fiche I've looked at do not even show that part on the diagrams, just the holes on top and bottom where it would install.

To best of my knowledge, those tubes are cast in to the bodies so you won't find a part number. Bending a new one isn't impossible but the end bends will often kink which makes them useless!

I had mine brass tubes leaking and I repaired it with J-B Weld HighHeat Epoxy Putty. That stuff was the only one which can withstand gasoline + high heat.

I ran it and test rode it and other than taking forever to warm up it seemed to be in good shape. I think it got set down at one point as some fairing pieces had been replaced.
