Ricardo498 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Hi,I have an 1100H that I've been running 1100M forks and yokes in for a few years. I'm putting a k8 1000 front end in now.I have a bearing conversion kit,but the ground top bearing race is wider in diameter than the frame bearing cup.resulting in the tapered bearing fauling the bearing cup in the frame. The only way I can see a way around this is to either shim the bearing race up,or grind a tapered relief clearance in the frame under the race.any info appreciated.TIA Edited September 29 by Ricardo498 Quote
george 1100 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I just did a K8 1000 fork install on my slabby. Used 30x55x17 on the bottom and 30x47x12 on the top 2 Quote
spiderpig Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I'd just get the stem swapped/another made. Use the original bearings. Never liked those swap bearings. 2 Quote
Ricardo498 Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago Hi,I used a standard cup 30x47x12 on top and it's fine, not the ground down shite one. Thanks 1 Quote
Joseph Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Since the bottom bearing is the same on both bikes, can the M stem be pressed into the K yoke ? Unless the K yoke is much thicker, it should be good ? Quote
