Dyna2000 ignition

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, I’ve got a efe and I’m thinking of using a Dyna 2000 ignition . My original cod is dead and a genuine Suzuki replacement is about the same as the Dyna system. I’ve got the Dyna coils and leads , so my question is are the Dyna system worth the money or should I buy an original. I’ve done a few mods which may be relevant, new valves and guides , springs retainers 1230 pistons rs36 carbs new clutch I have some web cams waiting to go in at some point with new rockers to suit. Any advise is much appreciated

Dunno much about Dyna ignitions (someone who does should be along soon :)) but you can get an Ignitec adjustable CDI from Czechia for a reasonable price that will be compatible with the stock pickups. I may have to get one soon for my EFE engine as I think the CDI is playing up.

There's also a bloke in Belgium that makes and sells aftermarket CDIs for OSS bikes but I am buggered if I can find his website :(.

I've had 4 Dyna 2K's - still have one on my 1460 and never had a problem but others have - maybe the far east production had an effect ? But the Ignitec is newer tech and reports are good about them plus made closer to home if there is a problem. Haven't used one or even seen one fitted so thats the limit of my recommendation!
