Triumph 1200 36mm carbs

Thinking about carb change on my 81 gsx1100...

Seen a few mentions of using triumph 1200 36mm ones. Anyone done this without issues?

They are 1/2 the price of gsxr 36mm ones second hand.

Strangely enough.. I just found a set of reasonably priced mk1 bandit carbs.

I belong to a couple of English car forums.  On M.G. Midget 1275 motors, they are experimenting with motorcycle carburetors.  I ran a Weber Sidedraft DCOE 40mm, and it worked excellently.

The Triumph carbs look equally spaced between each individual carb, I'm thinking the 1200 motor runs the camshafts on the right of the engine, hence the equal spacing.

Yeah, the 1200/4 runs the cam chain on the end the same as it’s very similar ZZR1100 and other Kwaks, not central between pots 2 and 3 like older Suzuki’s.  I know folk do re-space carbs as I’ve seen it done for the odd size GSX1400 but it’s just adding more work.
