PaulDun
I’ve just acquired a 1979 (according to the frame sticker) GS750L. It’s pretty rough and has the cylinder head & carbs missing, strangely I’ve always liked the custom Japanese bikes so I intend to restore it over the next few years as a project to keep me out of mischief Now I always thought these bikes had the two valve engine in them but this one appears to be the four valve GSX as it has four valve pockets in the piston tops? Both the engine and frame numbers have the prefix GS75X- Any ideas guys? 1 Quote Link to comment
Mike711
The USA called it a GS, I'm not sure if there was a 16v custom officially imported but may be wrong. Quote Link to comment
TonyGee
yeah they used the 16v engine as well I remember looking through the window of our local Suzuki dealer back in the late 70's at the 750 and 1100 L's that where sat their. dreaming of buying one Edited March 2, 2022 by TonyGee Quote Link to comment
wraith
The good news is, the gsx750 4v engine and engine parts are half the price of the gs750 2v parts (for second hand that is) 1 Quote Link to comment
PaulDun
Thanks, I’ve managed to source another engine so I can make one good one out of the two but I can keep the numbers straight by using the original cases. I’ll post some pics as I go along 3 Quote Link to comment
