Swiss Toni Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Can anyone post some pictures of the std. airbox mounts on the 1100ET/EX frame please? Some kind chappie has taken a hacksaw & file to mine! Quote
eddiegsx Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Im popping to my lock up where my ET lives in the morning mate, will take some pics if you still need them. can you let me know if youve sorted it. Quote
eddiegsx Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Can't really get decent pics but hope these are helpful. From the edge of the cross rail of the subframe to the rear of the airbox is 20mm(pic3) to the centre of the hole, measuring from the top of the frame rail to the top of the airbox bracket is 30mm, Give that a go. Swiss Toni Posted February 27, 2021 Author Posted February 27, 2021 That’s great, Eddie! Thanks very much! What was in the way that warranted the po cutting them off, I do not know! Quote
eddiegsx Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 People have their own ideas when it comes to "modifying" good job we are all different I suppose, but as you said, there's no mileage in cutting them off as you always have the option of refitting the original airbox. 1 Quote
TonyGee Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 on my 750 the left frame mount has a hole with a 6mm captive nut and a hole in the airbox tab, the right side mount doesn't have a hole or captive nut, the right side airbox tab doesn't have a hole either, it just rests on the mount. seems daft to just do one side but i guess its up to the job.
