Jdeac Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Hi all I'm in the process of doing the k1-4 5.5 rear wheel swap. My question is what caliper hanger do people use. Ive got a 94/5 top braced swinger in a 750 m. I would like to retain the stock hanger and not run a torque bar. I'm guessing I can get the hanger machined down. The find a disk to suit. Just wanted to know other peoples ideas. Any help appreciated Cheer Quote
badger Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 I've got a gsxr 1100 wheel, k8 disc, caliper and hanger. Not 100% but I think the spacing caliper to disc is the same pretty much across the board Quote
Jdeac Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 I know the disk from the centre of the wheel Is the same. But I was more looking at caliper hanger options. The wheel is centred Pic with spacer is temporary. I'm guessing that a top hat spacer made to sit flush with the hub. Then the original hanger machined down to fit. Or a k hanger??? I'm just not sure. First time looking at something like this. Quote
TonyGee Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 you can't use the hanger in your hand if your not using a torque arm, you will need one that slots into the mount thats welded to the swinger. Quote
Jdeac Posted February 11, 2021 Author Posted February 11, 2021 The one in my hand is the original to the 94/95 swinger. Just to wide with the wheel centred. Still waiting on a rear caliper etc. Didnt know if the k caliper hanger would be better to use. Even if I have to use a torque arm. Quote
