Any chance someone rebuilt a stock shock and did a write up. I would like to recondition the stock rear shock but unsure on how to rebuild after its all apart. this is how far I got.  What kind of fluid to use and how much. Also how to go about refilling .Should I just send to a shock repair place. I called a couple of local shops and it was a no go for this particular shock.IMG_1136.thumb.jpg.73b826a3a2056cf1188b7bee0ea5ba47.jpgIMG_1137.thumb.jpg.0ea9cb9987f3fdf8d0212d8c3eff991d.jpgIMG_1138.thumb.jpg.40be9809df3569b624a701f38989585d.jpgIMG_1139.thumb.jpg.5199eb7e175d3cb5e5fce07dd809eb3e.jpg

A quick Google brings up some other forums where it seems it has been done but they are very light on the technical details, if it needs to be done just give it a go. If the main seal has gone Allballs seem to sell them but you'll need to check which one is correct.

Is there any particular reason you want to retain the stock shock? There are a whole load of alternatives out there that will outperform the shocks the tight-wads at Suzuki suppplied with new bikes 30 years ago. Going this way may not be that much more expensive and will be a whole lot less hassle than rebuilding a relatively poor quality OEM unit:).
