vizman Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 old/new oil? not sure how long it'd take to reach pressure since it has not been started for so long....try just spinning it over a few times with the starter motor [no spark] Quote
1168turbo Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 always new oil...always with plugs out....will try again tomorrow..ta. Quote
Screwriverracing Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 When I have left mine it can take 3 to 5 mins to get the oil through to the turbo, usually take cam cover off, oil cams turn over by socket a couple of times, take oil return off turbo then turn over on starter motor till the oil comes out the return. By this time the oil light has gone out.allways do it with the plugs out.Cheers SRR Quote
1168turbo Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 ta mike.never had this prob before...didn't get chance today.hope to get it done this weekend. Quote
1168turbo Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 ok,tried again plugs out,new oil. oil being pumped from sight glass.still no oil at turbo? whats up? please don't say it has to be stripped!! Quote
Duckndive Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Its not the fastest motor getting oil up that high.......do you have oil going to the rockers ?assuming you are taking feed from the main gallery take the pipe off and see if you have oil at the feed connection ...and go from there ... Quote
1168turbo Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 ta,dnd. disconnected oil feed.took the mr turbo oil block off...nothing...pre oiled cams first, but don't know about rockers. it is lifting oil from sight glass....always returned oil very fast before now... Quote
Screwriverracing Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I would take the sump off and look at the strainer, take the block off the oil switch and check down the gallery then check the oil pump.Cheers SRR Quote
1168turbo Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 will take off sump for a look. ta mike. Quote
