Mouse Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Hi there I,m looking to get some inlet rubbers for my 1978 gs750, have found some online for not a bad price, £75 for all four including the O rings. Now problem is they are listed for GS750 B/C and N and also GS1000 C/N, now as far as i'm aware mine is a E, it has twin front brakes and cast wheels, can anyone help with what model i have, Can get frame number if that will help. Thanks Mouse. Quote
Blubber Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 A picture of the bike will help. A close up of the engine even more. Engine number will be the best as at the engine might have been swapped. Get all 3 and someone on here will know for show Quote
Mouse Posted July 8, 2020 Author Posted July 8, 2020 (edited) frame number 18874, hope this helps engine number 59416 e Edited July 8, 2020 by Mouse Quote
gs7_11 Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 All 8 valve GS750's had the same carbs, and fit the same rubbers as the GS1000. Quote
BigT Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 You're confusing the model (E) designation with the year (B,C,N) designation B= 77 C=78 N=79 2 Quote
Mouse Posted July 9, 2020 Author Posted July 9, 2020 O.K. makes more sense now, I just assumed that the advert was showing model numbers, don't know why he just didn't put "fits 1977 /1998/ 1999". Thank you Quote
BigT Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Online sellers have little knowledge of what they're selling, generally. You often see "fits GS 750, all years" when there's 3 generations of 750, with little crossover in parts Quote
