TonyGee Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 (edited) 1 hour ago, Joseph said: Whats the difference ? Do you have side to side pictures ? if your torque arm bolts to the frame then the brake hanger swings back and forth with suspension movement. so it has a spacer/bush where the spindle goes through so the hanger can pivot. but if the torque arm bolts to the swinger then a solid one is used. Joseph Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 The hanger he is showing is likely a slingshot one ? so it's a moving hanger with the bushing and seals. @TrunKzturn it over if it is a slingshot one you should see what i mean This is how it is built (parts 4-5-6) : Quote
TonyGee Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 if its like this then yeah it can go to the frame. you can see the bush/spacer inside. Quote
TrunKz Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 Ahhh I understand ! ok mhhh I would not like to attach or weld something to the jmc Maybe an option.. expensive option without anything. Only the hanger 1 Quote

TonyGee Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 does your hanger move when the spindle nut is tight like in your pic, or is the spindle nut loose ? Quote
TonyGee Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 so what you are saying is, when the spindle nut is tight the hanger will swing round ? 1 Quote
TrunKz Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 so is. I wonder what the guy built before. before that I had the torgue arm Quote
TrunKz Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 I use exacty these parts. i don’t want to fit the holder an the JMC. i need an good idea for a torque link near the axle maybe to fit it in the slotted area Quote
Joseph Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) If you don't want to weld on your swingarm just weld two plates on the frame to replace what has been cut off, and you can use the GSXR torque arm Easy to do and it's steel so no fancy welding required.
