HUM Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 Hello with my GSX 1100E I would like to change my clutch from cable to hydraulics. There are nice things from Magura , but the price is also nice.. On the other hand, there are Chinese parts that cost a fraction .. I am concerned about the slave cylinder, as a encoder cylinder you can use Brembo or Suzuki. Does anyone have any experience with the Chinese parts? a.) opens and excludes the parts far enough b.) is it strong enough to operate clutch c.) what is the durability See pic below of chinese part may be anybody has an alternative idea ? wraith Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 All you can say about the Chinese stuff is, some bits are good and some are sh*t you get it cheep you take the chance. I've got stuff before that is very good, then order the same thing again for something else and it's crap. 1 Quote
Dezza Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 I did the conversion using the fairly expensive Frando bits obtained from Venhill for my EFE engined bike. I did a thread on this so use the search function on here. All I can say is save your efforts. It makes not one jot of difference to the operation of the clutch (I was hoping for a lighter pull) so I went back to the simpler stock cable. I'll probably sell the Frando slave if anyone wants it but I am away until December. Frando stuff is made in Taiwan and is good quality but not cheap. Personally I would avoid the cheaper slave cylinders. If the seals go miles from anywhere then you are stranded unless you have a traffic and junction free route home. Quote
