suzuki gsx 750 inazuma starter motor

hi everyone my starter motor is knackered and needs to be replaced.do other starter motors from other models fit and if so from what.cheers raggy

Best is to search the parts sites eg fowlers or CMSNL and cross reference the partnumber. 

This feels like an odd ball. Think there are about 5 inazuma's on here.

wow £632 for a new starter motor better get saving up,ha ha.looks like they have some on fleabay around £100 just gonna make sure they are compatible,cheers raggy

Should be able to get one cheaper than that 2nd hand. Probably cheaper to get it repaired!

Isn't the inazuma motor the same as a b6 or gsx750 teapot???

fitted new starter motor and  still wont start could it be the starter relay solenoid?getting a noise from the relay though,any ideas,cheers raggy

A ticking / clicking noise from the starter solenoid is generally a bad battery or battery connection.

theres a heavy clunk noise when i hit the starter if that makes any sense,cheers raggy

I would check you have power from the solenoid to the starter

And then take the left hand cover off and investigate further

could be starter clutch or intermediate gear issue

Is it engaged with the starter clutch properly? Or starter clutch fucked?

Earth strap to the engine solid ? 

Multimeter saying 12v at the starter when you hit the the button?

what a noobhead it was the fecking clutch lever switch
