Garybox Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) 2007 GSX750F tachometer not working. I need some help to diagnose why tachometer isn't working all other dash instruments work it's only a tacho problem. All fuses under the seat are ok. I need to know where it gets it's pulse from and it's location also wiring color so I can trace from the signal source to the tacho to check for broken wires or corroded plugs etc. Any suggestions and a wiring diagram will be great thanks. Gixer1460 Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Signal from CDI / Spark box to tacho - wire colour is Black / Red or Red / Black - ( can't remember exactly) Quote
Dezza Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Either what he says, poor earth or the gauge has failed. Those tachos are available cheap if the guage has failed. I use one as a 'test tacho' on other bikes, and the guage only cost 10 quid. Just connect the signal and earth wires and away you go. Quote
