Starter clutch bolts, which threadlocker?

Had the starter clutch bolts loosen up on me. Again. Been using red lock tite. Obviously not good enough...

Suggestions?

Did you prepare the area well before you applied the thread locker? 

Red thread locker is a medium strength locker which is what I use. I never had any problems. I wash the bolt in hot soapy water to clean off the oil and let it dry. Then wipe any oil from the hole with dry clean rag. Then apply locker to the bolt and hand screw it on the first few threads. Then I get out the air impact gun set to the max and ram the fucker home as hard as I can. You'd be lucky to get anywhere near the specified 150Nm. Job a good'un after the locker sets.

Man, I have cleaned this so well in the past. The red says its has to be heated to 500f to be removed. I wonder if the crank gets that hot.  Its in an oil bath. Going to try some Gurls blouse green. I hear it's almost permanent.

Green is lower strength than red

Going with locktite 263. High strength oil tolerant and temps to 360f.

I use the Blue Glue

The better cure is a proper dowel or in the case of the 1135 one a ball bearing in the dowel hole so it does its job properly
