GS1000 inlet differences?

Good afternoon oracles. There are some GS1000 inlet rubbers on evil bay at a very reasonable price but they specify that they're not suitable for the G or S model. How are these inlet tracks different from say the E? Thanks

There will be a new bank of RS36s going in them.

They are for 26 or 29mm roundslide mikunis ...titchy

the S an G had CV carbs and slightly bigger inlets to suit..

You need some GPZ1100 ones I think... speak to Chris Tumblebum as I can't remember the exact model Kwak that was the big orifice ones.. suitable for RSs

That's a bit confusing.

The SN had VM28s, same as the EN (1979). The rubbers in the listing will fit an SN.

The G had the BS34 CV carbs, along with the ET (1980). The G never came with VM carbs.

The ST (1980), which was not sold in the UK, came with either BS34 CVs or big VM30 slide carbs, depending on market. Both of those use the large port head, so use the bigger rubbers.

If you want to put big carbs on, start with the big port head, then you won't have a nasty step in your inlet tract.
