Glowing headers!

What do you consider proper squish? Powerscreens carbs tend to leak between the slide and the diafragm, had trouble with them too. Your bike seems to require pretty big mains, I'm running 4 x 112.5 (stock =2x 112.5 & 2x110) for the same A/F ratio, must be a pitot set-up thing? (No criticism here pleae don't read it like that, just curious and like to compare, turbomaatje )

Ah yes Magny Cours, I've been there for the F1. Your bike would fit well at Spa, lots of cool stuff, I've been there twice as a spectator and this year I will be riding myself, not on the Martin because it's not by their rules but on a stock Katana 1000. Looking forward to seeing your bike evolve even more, keep posting pics

Really like the GS1000 Martin, so uncomplicated, what circuit were you on in the last picture? Are you going to Spa -Francorchamps for the Bikers Classics?

Thanks Yann, would like to see your Martin GS1000 too. Mine is stilll a work in progress, or still evolving. This is the most recent pic I have of the complete bike, the red bike was when I bought it.

Hello Yann welcome to the site, I really like your bike, I am a fan of Joe Bar and your bike reminds me of that, (I know I'm not the first to say it) I have only seen one Martin of this frame type in real life and that was on the back of a trailer, very cool to see yours getting used properly!!! I have a later style Martin myself with a turbo'd 1100F engine and other upgrades.

Wow, you've been really busy since I last read this topic! Nice to see that everything works out with a bit of carefull messing with. I think I have a good spare set of cams if you are interested, maybe some good rockers too. I've got a 1100F visitor in the shop tomorrow for the clutch mod since it has the draggy clutch like both of mine did, good to read your's is okay.

Really like what you are doing there, love sleepers even if my own build surely isn't one... I've had a 1100 Powerscreen as a daily for a while and I use a 1216 turbo'd version in my project bike, on both I had the same oil temp sensor mounted to keep an eye on things. Probably not the most accurate thing in the world but good for comparing... turned out she got pretty hot behind the full fairing! Allmost allways between 90-100 C, bit more in traffic and during one Autobahn session around 120. Same type of engine, and the same cooler in my nekkid project bike, runs way cooler, allmost allways around 80 C.

Ah good to see the old Martin again, we need more of them on the road! I used a CBR600RR swingarm because there is no top mount needed, just a bottom one.

I have a brand new set of APE 1127 studs and nuts gathering dust, so maybe we can help each other. But it's also important that both the head and the block surfaces are straight.
