OEM is definately OUT with this restore but thanks for the offer.

This is one of the only options I can find for exhausts new here in the UK.

Would prefer to find a period so 1990's exhaust that would work with it. I mean the bike is a 1990's time capsule with the JMC and Micron fork brace. Something will come up thats for sure.

The link for Ripple Rock Race worked out at $1075 without shipping hence the UK supplied Marving maybe a lot cheaper option.

Forks wise, as I have bandit stuff here plus RF stuff I could use that. Not sure about an RF front end but then they all look the same to me. It would be nice to have a good feel front end though. Guess thats where the GSXR11 front end comes in once again.

I was looking at those Hindle headers, but then I found a stainless Supertrap system for sale that had been used on a race bike back in the 80's and then hung in the shop for decades. Super lightweight. period stuff is out there, you just got to be lucky enough to find it before somebody else does.

Motor in, carbs on, exhaust and start carb job...But,I might of done something wrong, usin grease on head gasket...A friend told me it's good, but as far as I'm reading around its not :( Can this be fatal? The gasket is a 3 metal player one. Cheerz folx.

I know a few people that will recommend grease on the head gasket. Thin layer is meant to help it seat and any excess will just dissipate when running.

  3. I working on fitting a GSXR swing arm to my frame. Is 12 to 13 degrees a good number for the swing arm angle? I would like to get the geometry and wheel / chain  alignment all sorted out before i do anything else to her.v.thumb.jpg.86806ababc64725d3f1143086433c092.jpg

yeah i have a set of piggy backs on my zuma and they seem to work ok, also had them on another big bike i built.  ok they are fecking cheap Chinese crap but for £40 its no big loss especially as the OEM ones are rusty and leaking.  they do look good though ;) their are a few reviews on them on the net and most say for what they are their ok, they are fully rebuildable as well. if you are on (like me) a very tight budget then they are usable till you can afford a good set.

The piggyback reservoirs on the chinesium shocks are completely fake, and the shocks bend like spagetti. No way I would run them on a heavy bike.

    ...correction....Partzilla.com

Yup, partzilla is pretty good. Ive got stuff there before, but always shipped to a box in the USA. That way shipping is way faster and there are no extra charges added on for customs. maybe the border will open before I get this thing finished.

Orient Express seems to have some good stuff as well.

Ive just about finished modifying my 1973 RD350, so I found a new project. I had a Katana 750, 1100 and 1000 stryker with spoked wheels back in the late 80's, early 90's, so when I saw one for sale locally I decided to really impress my wife and add another bike to the garage.

Its a 82 750 with an 1100 motor. been standing for 10 years. Im currently pulling it apart to see what is missing, broken or beat to death.

Looking online in North America, the only parts fisch I can find is a GS1000s.

Can anybody recommend a good online place to buy parts, specifically for the motor..
