@clivegto did you use the MK2 rubbers or have they been changed  for MK1 or other oil cooled inlets ? - trying to understand whether dezza's intake/carb guide is right O.o

No the mk2 rubbers will not fit the mk1 carbs so presumably there mk1. This was as is in picture when I bought it.

There used to be a firm selling slabside race rearsets on Eblag (race products), good quality and cheap. I had some on a previous build. I can not find the shop. Have they ceased trading ?

Seem to think someone said he had health issues.

alternatively, if you used a set of 750 aircooled cases, theyre a shell crank motor so you could use a stretched oilcooled crank as 750 aircooled cases are everywhere propping shed doors open and stopping canal barges from drifting away.....

Oil cooled cranks are one piece though so a bit more tricky to extend.

  4. Came away from Newark bike show with another set of ISR master cylinders with a slightly different design to the other's, spoilt for choice now. Also picked up some nice turbo stuff for it. IMG_20240107_124912.thumb.jpg.71fd4b479d53c3040e3be90ce851a7c4.jpg IMG_20240107_125023.thumb.jpg.6756e23d201a7f2f33fd06874294398f.jpg IMG_20240107_125157.thumb.jpg.9b95ec641de361607d259f5af5970eaf.jpg

  5. So we made it to Newark classic winter bike show. Thought we had one of the best turn outs for bikes on the OSS stand I've seen :pimp:, unfortunately I won't be there on the Sunday as well :(IMG_20240106_075438.thumb.jpg.c80f593b17a1d42951827f5746197d57.jpg IMG_20240106_083021.thumb.jpg.e010f3f1af8bee1bc55fef91ee071b24.jpg IMG_20240106_074057.thumb.jpg.73bb0d153e39310332a6a94dd80e1adc.jpg IMG_20240106_074107.thumb.jpg.0628f2aac5e66b7c6d055e2c09552c1c.jpg IMG_20240106_074049.thumb.jpg.9c8932274eead2ac19d256af2cd62907.jpg IMG_20240106_074134.thumb.jpg.12f4efff40109eab6e8faca6ddbd2e64.jpg IMG_20240106_074118.thumb.jpg.6909ccf4aae7de7e22a24cfffba7a39c.jpg IMG_20240106_081440.thumb.jpg.0f86a37bfcf99cbb953fe10be7dbf766.jpg IMG_20240106_074218.thumb.jpg.813a6d12df6a98c7906c4dd227f4932f.jpg IMG_20240106_074044.thumb.jpg.3f3b95729eeeb1677d02ff18e8762ea2.jpg IMG_20240106_074053.thumb.jpg.213d0ad17aa72ea8696d528527840982.jpg IMG_20240106_074113.thumb.jpg.db25f50a53511ba8f3e85d721beb5394.jpg IMG_20240106_083158.thumb.jpg.85415427a9c06d4cfb3a1600a3f5a555.jpg IMG_20240106_080442.thumb.jpg.c3e1de091b7eead0574a8a1a6fc31efa.jpg IMG_20240106_080605.thumb.jpg.a0b3a45bb01227436e8863e7f5469ef7.jpg IMG_20240106_202951.thumb.jpg.42a71df7f5a8edd2065e4df120b745d2.jpg IMG_20240106_164723.thumb.jpg.8b39958f59070cea5bfa247cf03443b2.jpg IMG_20240106_074036.thumb.jpg.7d2ea99ce95a9ea8bd184d1ccab039c8.jpg

I was just going to mention that one. I’d like to know more about it!

I did have a good chat with him on the Friday night while consuming lots of beer. It's based on a 750, crank is just pressed together and the cams are cut and shut using interference slugs no welding. He's a good engineer just did it to see if he could. @davecaraknows him better so might be able to tell more.

  7. Brought the Magnum inside to give it a wipe over with an oily rag before I take it to Newark bike show at the weekend, it's replaced the Christmas tree B|IMG_20240102_184538.thumb.jpg.d92b30106ed35fc1d1d764480c67ec25.jpg IMG_20240102_184406.thumb.jpg.9b3c3ee80683a52aa04cb80bfe7d0c38.jpg IMG_20240102_184701.thumb.jpg.6aa0c2ae4aa0b91c3f30fb884e478a8b.jpg IMG_20240102_184336.thumb.jpg.3d349b7442be52036ccc5407abcc3cfb.jpg

On my quest for another turbo I came across this.

    I'm also looking into a VF23.

Can you tell me if the VF23 is bigger than the TD04? Dimension wise?

I'm not really looking for a turbo with more output, but the plain bearing turbo's keep stuffing up for some reason, the ball bearing I had previously (VF20) stayed alright, no clue what goes wrong, seems to get plenty of oil..

    Thanks

The Vf23 is a little bit bigger than the tdo4l but not much :tuIMG_20231223_154337.thumb.jpg.2fcccaa47707b7012fe5508e0ced7a18.jpg IMG_20231223_154252.thumb.jpg.d4c9696b974fea13c688a84bf059d891.jpg
