  1. Thanks , Just had a quick look at the wiring diagram and it says that it’s feed is from the igniter unit, where does that get its signal from for the revs
  2. Thanks Wraith, it’s when I’m riding it. Thanks Dezza I’ll double check them again, I’ve had the coils off so I might have missed a bad wire
  3. Hi again everyone, my 11’s Rev counter is jumpy, has anyone come across this before and is it an easy fix? cheers
  4. It’s more for show not go, I’m returning it to completely original more of a restoration if you like.
  5. Thank you so much for the info, very informative, I have the chance to buy a really good original full system from an 89 as I am putting mine back to original, I still have my original silencers so maybe i can just use the headers as the ones that are on are horrible. Thanks again
  6. Hi again everyone, would anyone know by any chance if a full exhaust system from a 89 1100 fit on a 91 1100? The numbers on the silencers are one digit different mine are 41c0 and the 89 are 40c0, also are the headers the same? Thanks in advance much appreciated as always

  11. Absolutely superb guys thanks very much for the info, gonna try and repair it somehow lol and start from scratch with the carbs. Again much appreciated
  12. Yeh they are 40s, do you know what that pipe on the side that goes from the bottom of the carb body to the choke slide actually does?
  13. Hello all, I'm looking for some advice on my 1100 gsxr I recently bought back from the guy I sold it to 11 years ago, it's running on three pots, no2 is off, took the carbs off and found the little pipe on the side that goes to the choke housing is broken off. My question is what the hell does that pipe do and would it stop the carb working? Also can you fit early 1200 bandit carbs to replace the originals? Any help would be much appreciated as I'm demented with it hahahaha cheers
  14. Hahaha yup, they were holding all the panels on, little ones at the front, side and most of the seat unit, it's got a gsxr srad seat unit on it, apart from the Finnish the actual mod is pretty well done lol
  15. Yup that's exactly what's they are, they are everywhere on it hahaha like I said " special" lol gonna cost a fortune just to replace where all the tek screws are on it hahaha
  16. 30 tooth sum bitch lol cheers again lads for all your help, I little knowledge goes a long long way
  17. And below is the result of said genius hahaha
  18. Cheers colinworth, I think the previous spanner monkey let loose on this particular machine is a special kind of stupid or genius I'm not sure lolol chopped the head off of 2 coach bolts to secure the alternator
  19. Yeh just as I thought and as you said fastbloke it's a 30 toother, thanks for all your help lads
  20. Yeh there is huge bits missing off the spring damper, can't find them anywhere in the engine lol which makes me think someone has been at this motor disastrously before lol but the alternator gear in my pic definitely looks like the 28 or 30 tooth in fastblokes pic gonna retire to the workshop now and count them ( the mother in law is here aswell so time for a cool sharp harp hahaha)cheers everyone I'll keep you posted cheers
  21. Cheers, the clutch and basket and sprockets are all off on the bench, it's when I offered the old sprockets up without the basket is when I found the main shaft is miles out of centre, I wonder if the previous owner has replaced the alternator with the wrong one and forced it in causing the alternator sprocket to well sheer basically, there are 2 weird sperious bolts holding the alternator on, they look like coach bolts with the head chopped off and a washer brayed on hahaha, thanks again for your help, i think I've got my work cut out for me with this one hahahaha cheers
  22. Thanks for the reply, I can't understand how it's been running when my brother bought it without making a rotten sound, it was cheap tho, the sprockets must have just been jammed together. Thanks again ,gonna get searching for the correct alternator .
  23. Hi would like to pick your wonderful big brains if I could about my brothers 1200 bandit, he bought the bike as a fixer upper and I've got the job of the fixing haha, it's got a cracked alternator drive, got a new one ordered but while I was tinkering I thought I'd just offer the old one up to the alt and oil pump just to try and get a feel for it meshing for when I fit the new one. Something isn't quite right with it, to me the alternator gear on the alt seems too big. My question is are there different size alternator gears?,could this be the wrong alternator fitted and that's what's knackered the drive on the back of the clutch basket, when the gears are meshed the main shaft is miles out of centre. Just to note the sprocket is off the basket. Any help and info would be hugely appreciated cheers
