  1. L and m had 38 but the l had the quick access hatch in the float bowl so you could change main jets with out taking the carbs out
  2. Right finally got round to looking at refitting the top fairing on the m. It's been over a year since I took it apart and forgot how it goes back together I've put the headlight back into the fairing now do I fit the fairing frame to the headlight and then fit to the headstock or can I fit the fairing to the frame when it's fitted to the headstock
  3. Turns out the wiring runs along the top of the ram air vents that I have removed
  4. This is how it's routed at the moment
  5. Has anyone got a picture of the routing of the wiring on a 750m as mine on the project seems wrong I'll load up some pictures in a minute
  6. Trying to set the float heights on the project GSxr but can't seem them to sit high enough looked at the fiche on fowler's website they list the needle valve assembly is there a oring that sits under neath the seat
  7. Looking at the Haynes manual for the float heights on the project 750m and it tells you the measurement is 14.7 from the carb body to the top of the float which I get but it then tells you that the carb should be upside down when this measurement is done is this correct or have they got it wrong
  8. Okay finally got round to doing some work on the project setup a remote fuel tank and hooked up the vacuum gauges balanced the carbs to a degree but getting fuel coming out of the overflows but running a lot better I know it's probably going to mean carbs back off and floats replacing and seals but what is weird when I reconnected the tank it was running as if starved of fuel and nothing coming out of the overflows I'm guessing that the tap needs a rebuild as well where is best for the kits
  9. yep that's the bit but on the gsxr the foam is preglued onto the bracket its number 5 in the picture
  10. the bit im talking about sits on the top of the bracket its like a foam/rubber spacer that sits between the top of the bracket and the bezel of the clocks on the top
  11. okay so the ruubber that sits on the clock bracket has shrunk and really isn't damping the speedo anymore had a look at the fiche and it looks like the rubber comes as part of the bracket has anyone replaced the rubber and if so with what I was thinking about some neoprene but not sure what thickness to go for
  12. Picked up a single seat cover with the bump pad the pad has a small bit of wear and tear is the foam repairable
  13. Everytime I took the rear wheel out I always repacked in around the bearing with grease well it's got my spare carrier fitted at the moment until I get the replacement bearing and refit it
  14. It was a 2 rs bearing so it had the rubber seals either side it was packed with grease
  15. Had some weird vibrations and noise from the rear originally thought it was the rear caliper turned out to be the carrier. The question is should it have the tiny step as in the picture luckily had a spare carrier
  16. It's a hagon 1100 slingshot shock so it should fit the 750
  17. So the 1100 shock will fit with the drop links from a 1100
  18. What's the difference between the 750 and 1100 shocks as I've got a hagon shock for a 1100 wondering will it fit a 750l
  19. Not yet but getting there as a good Freind says if it's got tits or wheels it will cause you headaches and cost money
  20. Liquid refreshment always helps dodgy picture as I dropped the works phone and cracked the lense
  21. Well the old bus is up for it's mot at the end of the month so the horn stops working a couple of days ago. Swapped the horn from the project bike still no luck so got the multimeter out it looks like a broken wire in the loom. So now the daily ride is in pieces while I trace the broken wire what fun on a Sunday afternoon
  22. Thanks was looking on fowler's website but they only went up to I think number 48
  23. trying to get the part numbers for the little brass washer and the oring that sit at the bottom of the pilot screw on a 1991 750m had a look on fowlers website but cant find them
