  1. Okay slowly getting 750m back up and running after not been touched for almost 10 years carbs cleaned out and refitted. Running it with open carbs at the moment when you blip the throttle the revs hang a little bit now would that be because of no airbox or could I have a airleak on the engine rubbers the rubbers seem fine but I'm thinking about replacing the orings seals
  2. Did a quick bench sync and put the carbs back on running open carbs at the moment a bit of a pig to start but it finally started with a bit of brake cleaner as easystart now do I keep the original airbox or run pod filters
  3. I was thinking air leaks as well I was running it open carbs got a replacement spring and some replacement orings for the top hats on the carbs going to replace these bits visually check the carbs and then try again
  4. This is the middle adjustment screw
  5. Okay done the rewire on the project 750 refitted the carbs and it fired which I was shocked at as my wiring skills aren't the best but it's reving it nuts off so took the carbs back off and checked things. Now im not to sure but should there be a spring either side of the plate
  6. It's definitely a m I also have a l as my daily commuter with my fat 18 stone arse on it the weight difference is null and void picking it up in a few weeks
  7. already got a spare set of forks to go in first big thing will be getting it to fire into life then the rest i can do bit by bit
  8. As you can see from my daily ride idont wash them I service it and use it
  9. I know it's got the god awful anodised levers and bar ends once I get it into my mum's garage I can have a proper look and see what I'm going to do the first problem I can see me having is the electrics as it has a immobilizer fitted
  10. early days yet i havent even picked it up yet but i will bear it in mind mr oilyspanner
  11. this is my current day to day ride that i use to commute to and from work
  12. picking this up in acouple of weeks been stood in garage for 9 years so hopefully it wont stand for another 9 when i get hold of it but im in 2 minds what to do break it or get it up and running and keep or sell it on
  13. that was what i thought they were from a k/l 1100 as the spacing is 52mm same as my 750 mirrors but when fitted they just dont sit right
  14. From what I can work out they look like there off a 1100l
  15. Got a spare set of mirrors for my 750l 52mm spacing as they should be but the arm coming from the mount is longer I'm guessing they are from a 1100 the white mirror is of my 750l
  16. I had problems with mine the other week it was tilurning over but not sparking it turned out my pickup had gone bad
  17. It turned out to be the pickup coil had gone bad replaced and back on the road
  18. Okay fitted a pickup plate from a mates bandit and we’re back cooking with gas thanks for the help
  19. Okay had problems with the pickup in my gsxr got a bandit pickup to try to cure the problem but the ignition advancers look different still 3 pins but look different will my gsxr advancer work with the bandit plate
  20. Already checked everything I can think off and got all good readings cleaned all block connectors and tried a spare ecu with exactly the same outcome I’ve removed the pickup plate and going to fit a known good one as a test and take things from there
  21. Okay tested again this morning with exactly the same kit and now it’s reading within spec which tally’s with the problem I was having when it was fitted it would start and run fine then leave for a hour or 2 whilst refitting plastics and various bits and try again to start then you have no spark
  22. When I have it on 200 and connect it up it just reads 1 I’m going to see if I can get a multi from work and double check it
  23. I had it on 200 and it didn’t register anything that’s why I raised it to 2k and then it started pumping out bloody high numbers that’s why I’m thinking it is the pick up it was playing silly buggers it was starting and then you leave it for a few hours and then back to square one no spark and by that time I’d put everything back on
  24. Been having problems with my sparks on the 90 750l I think I’ve tracked it down to the ignition trigger pickup. Now I’m a retard when it comes to electrics I looked in the manual and it does list the resistance it says to probe each pair of terminals as the 750 only has 1 pick up I.e blue and yellow the manual states 135 - 200 ohms. So I put the meter to ohms 2k and put one probe to yellow the other to blue the meter is reading 1.917 I’m reading that as 1917 ohm so a fubared pick up
