  1. On the temp forum there was a thread about converting the diaphragm clutches using ~06ish GSXR Clutch Hubs from memory.

Ya, spent the other night pouring over the microfiche.

Looks like the hubs plates and pressure plate should plop in.

Hoping to go with the K-N basket as I have loads of plates for the system.

  2. On the topic of lockups, will a lockup for a 91 Gsxr1100 fit a 93 gsxf1100 and a 02 B12? Or are there differences between models that prevent it from swapping one motor to the next?

Obviously I'm not the Lock-up expert but as far as differences,

I know the b12 has an Aluminum basket while the gsxr1100 89-93 & the gsxf1100 / G have the steal ones.

The b12 has totally different plates then the earlier bikes.

The 88-93 gsx-f1100 was coil sprung while the gsxr1100 89+ was Diaphragm.

I think all the gsx-1100g had the same Diaphragm set up as the gsxr1100 89+

Pretty sure I'm on target but by no means is my word the law.

  3. I know a Lockup is a centrifugal clutch but does it work in effect like the Rekluse System?

Meaning I can still use my clutch like a standard clutch also or does it completely remove manual activation all together?

  4. Hmm, ya I was wondering about the helical. Had to be a reason why they only used it for two years out of the whole SACS history.

This engine will be a speed trials engine, not a drag bike engine.

Figured I wouldn't really need a lockup as gearing will all be pointed to top end. No sudden explosive low / mid range power outputs.

    Am I wrong?

If I need one I'm not apposed to getting one.

    Thoughts?

  5. So I'm going 1340cc.

I Have two options in my shed to work with,  b12 motor or my 1052 block with a gsx1100F Helical 1127 crank and clutch.

I know the Teapot Coil Spring clutch is stronger then the b12 Diaphragm Clutch but are there any other advantages one offers over the other?

    Which has the better head?

    etc, etc.

    Decisions, decisions.

  6. I've been lucky enough to have old Yosh and VH full systems kicking around

so I've never need to try and make newer exhaust systems work on my 1052 Slabbies. Times have changed.

I know this has been gone over loads of times but can't find anything on the search option.

It's a bit fuzzy in my mind, is it the b12 that works?

I think i recall one of the gsxr1000's working if you do some tweaking?

I notice quite a few Micron pipes on builds so I'm assuming there is something to that also.

I'm also going to be doing a 750K build so same question applies there.
