Hoping to finally work on my slabby this winter.
I have a set of Yoshi ST-1 and ST-2 cams but don't have the set up specs for them.
Anyone have a scan of / or can quote me the specs from the set up sheets please
(most likely going to put in the ST-1's. Don't think I will have the time to put in shortened valve guides and all)

Yes the 1074 watercooled engine (1127 was a typo/brain fart)
Thanks
-
Just noticed the big end shells for the 1127-W and 1157-B12 cranks have the same pt#
anybody know if the pin ID and rod length are the same?
Thinking the W might be a stronger rod as it has a single bolt and not a bolt and nut set up
-
Plus bearing shells ain't cheap
-
matching the bearing shells would be a nightmare.
I'd de-grease the crap out of it and have a aluminum welder specialist have a crack at it.
-
if the tip is still in the dash couldn't you just super Glue it back on?
As long as u have a steady hand that is, or don't stare at richargs1000's avatar for too long

Ohhhhh. Hm, thats interesting

I have both an 01 and a 99 Blandit engine.
When I get them torn apart I will compare and post the measurements

yes baffle was included. all i know its a pro pipe, i bought it for £150, not sure what you mean by 2.5 ?
Is the baffle ID 2.5" (63mm)?
My ProPipe didn't come with one.
I think I have tracked the baffle down threw a V&H supplier. Just checking to see what yours came with.
-
Nice, did the baffle come with it?
Is it the comp 2.5"?
-
Pretty much as I suspected but good to hear it out loud from guys who've put them to the test.
I'm thinking its a 2-stage for me then.
Thanks fellers

OK so back to lock-ups.
2-Stage or Multi-Stage?
2-stage is half the money but I like the sound of tune-ability with the multi.... Am I over thinking it?
-
Ya, since I am going lock-up I have to admit that my main reason for doing so is that I have loads of NOS OEM plates for the coil clutch. Offsets the expense of the swap.
-
Ohh ok, thank you. That clears it up.
Cometic lists head gaskets for only the pre-2001. I'm guessing they work for mark 2 also then.
-
Interesting, the rings are all the same part#
-
So what the heck is the difference between the Pre-2001 and the Post-2001 pistons in the Blandit motors?
The pistons and cylinders have different pt#'s but everything else is the same (crank, rods, pins, cylinder head).
Most of the aftermarket head gaskets and piston rings stop at 2000.
Everything i see on the interweb has all Blandits at the same claimed capacity (1157cc)
What gives?
Higher compression pistons?

Anybody know if the Water Cooled 1100 basket will work instead of the 88-92 1100 basket conversion?
It also has 72T prime gear and has a metal basket.
Although the friction plates have a different part# they are the same tooth like engagement to the basket. Different thickness?

Got it, thanks captain chaos
-
Looking forward to that

Alas I'm in the Sates, too far for shipping
Anyone States Side got one they'll part with?

didn't know a baffle was available. is it a smaller diameter then your Yoshi?
How did the plugs look.
Runs worse throughout the whole power band or.....?

Perfect Jaydee, just what I needed
ST-2 Specs are more for the future, ST-1's are going in this winter for sure.
Doing a bit of head work. +1.5mm intake and cleaning up the ports plus a tad more cc's. ST-1's cuz I got em.
Easy stuff this year. Big stuff next year
