65mm caliper mount SRAD wot else?
Joebloggs replied to CockneyRick's topic in Water Cooled, V-Twins, Singles and 2-strokes
The 4 pots off the 600 SRAD are supposed to be less likely to seize, I went this route although have yet to use them in anger, plenty on Eblag -
I'm fitting a pre 98 GSX750F wheel brake etc into a GSX750ES, everything seemed OK until I tried to fit the caliper on the hanger, the off set is wrong, the hole centres are correct but the offset pushes the wheel off centre. According to the part numbers they should be compatible, question is how to identify which part is incorrect

Three new frames, a wiring loom, two sets of wheels and fairings but its still the original 750.......lol Very nice!

Got a breaker with a F motor and ES lever to trial fit it and it goes on no problem, another £17 lighter.....

Anybody know if the ES gear lever will bolt directly to the oil cooled gear shaft, the stock F linkage will probably bring the lever to close to the riders footrest and besides I'm going with the hydraulic clutch so no mount for the link unless I find an early slabby cover. I know it will probably reverse the shift pattern but thats a bonus for me (prefer down for up)

Crash cage/crash protectors

I guess they wouldn't be everyone's cup o t but I thought they looked pretty good, built for purpose if you know what I mean -

I remember seeing a few club racers use a length of flat bar that bolted on the front engine mount, was bent out to the edge of the case then another 90 degree bend backwards to cover the pickup cover etc. Had a strip of rubber behind it to stop the guard smashing through the covers in the even of an off. Don't know how effective it was but must have given some protection. -
GSX600f fits, not great, but slightly less unattractive. Be careful on which year, I've read that the spacing is slightly different on later yokes

Thanks, will keep on the look out for later coils.

Seen some 98 GSXR600/750 stick coils, anyone used them, don't want to get them only to find they're unsuitable. Any part numbers I should check? Thanks
