  1. Hi all. Just a quick question. How do the lower frame rails sit (under the motor) when the bike is sat upright? Flat, sloping up to the front etc had to tell from pics. This would be for a slingy. Cheers all
  2. Hi all just wanting to know if there are any other rear calipers that will work with the top braced 750/1100 swing arm. The 1 that uses the mounting bracket pictured in my wanted add. Mounting holes are 75mm. No torsion bar. Hope someone can help. Cheers jon
  3. Hi all I'm wanting to fit a multi spoke rear wheel into a top braced 750/1100 swinger. Trying to match the 06 r1 frontend that I've fitted. Any of you done anything like this or know of a wheel that fits without a load of machine work. Would like to stay with a 5.5 inch rim. Hope someone can help. Cheers jon
  4. That would say there is only 5mm of thread. I stand corrected but this can't be right.
  5. Could someone tell me the dimensions of the rear wheel spindle for the top braced 750 swinger. Got the arm but need the right spindle.
  6. I'm just looking for the difference in widths at the wheel spindle I think.
  7. Hi all. What are the differences between the slabbie and slingy swinger. I'm looking at putting a cbr 600 rear wheel in a 750 w top braced swinger in my oil boiler. I've had replys to how it's done in a slabbie. But I'm wanting to check if it works the same in the slingy swinger. Was looking at using an fz6 rear wheel to match the r1 front. But it looks like it going to take a fair amount of machine work. I think the cbr wheels is close enough to match the r1 front. As you don't really see much of the front because of the 320mm disks. Any help appreciated. Or other options for the rear wheel would be great. Cheers all
  8. What are people's thoughts on this same setup working on a 750 w top braced swinger in an oil cooled 750. I've read the article above. But is the slabbie swinger different to the slingy swinger.
  9. Yup. Now I need to find out how the rear works in a slingy swinger.
  10. Hi all. Is a single feed pingle fuel tap suitable for a mk2 b12 engine. Going to be using a water boiler tank on my slingy. And need the clearance. cheers jon
  11. I'm sure I've seen a write up on it. Might have been the old site. It was a while back
  12. Hi all. I remember seeing somewhere about fitting cbr 600 wheels on to slingys. Had a search but nothing. Anyone point me in the right directionow. Cheers jon
  13. Will have a measure tomorrow.
  14. Any idea on how to find out what bike they are from. They came to me with a rolling chassis with a mk1 bandit motor. I've not test fitted at all as I'm going to be going a different route. So they will be going up forsale if I can find out what they are from.
  15. Have a look at my latest post in forsale section. Arm is original 750/1100 arm that has been top braced. Just something to think about. Custom But it is a slingy arm. Must be easier
  16. Hi all any ideas what these headers are of folks cheers jon
  17. Fz6 to match as close as possible to the r1 front end. 5.5 inch rear
  18. The wheel and disk combo I have is using a 245mm disk
  19. Thanks for that. do you think a time bigger disk would still work in the caliper?
  20. I've got mk1 carbs I think. came with loads of bits when I bought an unfinished project. what's the difference between the 2? both sets of carbs appear to be the same size as the mk1 rubbers fit on the mk2 carbs but I've not tried doing a complete fit to the mk2 motor
  21. So best option is to stick with the mk2 motor as is.
  22. Shame got a nice mk2 motor. And have some brand new mk1 rubbers for another motor I have. But wanting to use the mk2 motor. cheers jon
