Some shocks allow the canister to move/rotate in an up direction but can't see if the casing is cast or separate. What does yer frame vin number start with.
And do check length of dog bones. Too long will cause that problem.
As for Aprilia arm. Rsv 2002 model.it won't fit till I remove 30mm aprox. Basically chop down and reweld up. That's in my track day build.
750/900 track day bike in projects too!
Yes, I like being in my workshop. Peace!
Avoid rsv 2004 ones as they can self destruct.

It shouldn't be. It should be bolted on wn frame. Maybe someone altered it?
Does the canister rotate on the shock?
Have you checked the length of the dog bones.
-
I see yer problem. Top shock mount should be bolted on, spadge. If it's w/c frame.
-
Any progress? @fish91
-
Interesting, how long are your dog bones, spadge? Should be 190mm centres. I was told straight bolt on and no mods. Pics?

Check my build thread in projects.
My life and time with gsxr750wn.
I tend to waffle a bit (so ive been told) but some good pointers on there.
Hopefully ya may find something useful.

Yes, I've fitted k1 rear plastics on mine. Will be Fitting daytona 675 rear end over the winter when money allows. R6 sub frame will fit with little mods. Find something you like, ask owner or a shop if you can take some measurement 's.
Have anything in mind?

Yes, quite right. Should have elaborated a bit more but my head still foggy from this bloody illness.
Would any of the ecu''s have a rev limiter on them? Maybe..

Top chamber/diaphram is controlled by a very small hole above the thottle butterflies in the venturi. It's these holes that control the slides.
-
Cool. I was going to ask wether it rev out in n/a mode but that was my next question.

Thought the slides were controlled by vacuum on cv carb?
-
So is there not enough vacuum above the diaphragm to lift the slides? Is this the cause of the Rev ceiling 6.5k.
Air leak on that side maybe or am I well off the mark.
Me just learning about forced induction but sounds like not enough vacuum above diapham.
-
Just insert them. No need to weld them.
-
Silly question. Have the carbs been balanced?

Rev limit is 12000rpm 53bhp 93 and after. Before 93 was 59bhp and 12500 rpm. Gk76 models.

Yes spadge, wn/wp are same frame. You will need the spacers from braced arm and insert the smaller 20mm spacers from wp into the braced 25mm so as to reduce internal dia to 20mm. If you're buying new bearings it may pay to buy the new spacers too. Bearing suppliers should stock them. Can't show any photos as I'm away recovering from illness.
-
Yes it fits . Brace arm in wn/wp frame but you will need the bearing spacers from wn to insert inside the braced arm to take up the 5mm difference and the dog bones from brace arm as well as the wheel adjuster blocks. Wheels are the same.
-
standard is 15/42 . need longer chain to run 45t rear. tho not a big problem if bigger rear is better on transmission.
-
i always forget about them as i have the older frame!. still, i wonder why they swapped the swing arm pivot bolt to the other side.
-
if ya just want better pull away then 14/42 is what i use to run, you won't need anything else. still has enough top end to pull over 150mph. ya might need to put some weight over the front on pull away tho.

@SpadgeDog bones should be 190mm centres.
@dupersuncany idea why it's not right?
Top shock mount doesn't look right for a wn model. Maybe 750m?
