martyngsxr Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Okay slowly getting 750m back up and running after not been touched for almost 10 years carbs cleaned out and refitted. Running it with open carbs at the moment when you blip the throttle the revs hang a little bit now would that be because of no airbox or could I have a airleak on the engine rubbers the rubbers seem fine but I'm thinking about replacing the orings seals Quote
colinworth79 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Personally I would put new O rings on the rubbers and run the air box if the rest is stock. My 750L has a race can airbox and runs fine with no flat spots. Mates 750M has no airbox and he can't get to run quite right low down. Many years ago I had one with dual K&N filters and that ran like a sack except for flat out, but saying that back then I was young and stupid and hadn't a clue on setting up carbs. Quote
MeanBean49 Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) Running with no airbox on standard jetting will make revs hang up a lot. Will be way too lean. You can get them to run perfectly with any setup if you want, just takes dyno time and someone who knows what they are doing Edited July 5, 2018 by MeanBean49 1 Quote
teltwosheds Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Just enrich your pilots. A colour tuner helps(not expensive) Quote
