Zweihammer Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I picked up a black 89 GSX1100F for cheap, first and foremost for the engine. Since it is a runner that still pulls like a train, I decided to reg and insure it to be my backup whenever I tear into my 83 (which needs the charging system replaced, I am currently running a total loss ignition everyday going to work). Question is, this bike handles like a pig, is that a teapot trait? I realize rock hard, square shouldered tires, soft forks and wooden brakes can all be dealt with, rebuilt or upgraded. Problem is, I don’t want to divert any of my resources away from my other projects, if, at the end of the day it’s still wallows even on wide sweepers. Does not inspire confidence. I would consider swapping in 17s, maybe B12 forks, if it wouldn’t be a waste. Opinions? Cheers, Zweihammer Quote
