Fjbj40 Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Will the clutch fibers from a GSX1100 or 1150 fit a GS1000? If they do can I use the 1000 steels with them? From my understanding the GSX steels are thicker and can't be used in the 1000 basket? Thanks Quote
Swiss Toni Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 GSX1100/1150 won't fit. Fjbj40 Posted March 1, 2018 Author Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) Damn, thanks! I thought I read somewhere that they were all the same with the big 4 cyl engines. Oh well, time to buy some from MR. Suzuki Edited March 1, 2018 by Fjbj40 Quote
Duckndive Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 4V steels are smaller O/Dia than 2V ones but the inner teeth are the same as 4V ones as I bought a job lot of new 2v ones and turned them down.... the common hop up is to fit a 4V basket into a 2V motor Quote
Fjbj40 Posted March 1, 2018 Author Posted March 1, 2018 My 1000 basket has been beefed up with the backing plate and welded already. It's still holding up even with my twisty wrist Quote
