Jpich85
I'm hoping to get my frame powder coated once I've finished build but I was looking at the frame number and wanted to check if it's on to powder coat over it? I know that it needs to be readable but wanted to see if anyone else has painted or coated there frame and what they did about it? It's a gsxr 750 1990. Cheers Quote Link to comment
yantosh
use a decent powdercoater and it'll be readable Quote Link to comment
no class
They use a special heat tape for areas not to be painted . Why powder coat ??? Why not a 2 k epoxy ? Both will chip , scratch and fade over time.....and in the event of a color change , stripping pc is a real bitch . Quote Link to comment
CockneyRick
Coated plenty of frames & never had issue with numbers And stripping em (if you really needed to) is easy when it has to be blasted for whatever you plan next, other than [painting, where you just key it & off you go! 1 Quote Link to comment
